LDVA 19TH Congress with International Participation “Latest Achievements in Dermatology, Venereology, Oncology and Aesthetics"

8-9 of 2024 in November, in Riga, in the conference center of the "Islande" hotel, the 19th LDVA congress took place, in which industry professionals - doctors, as well as students and residents - took part. The congress took place in person, but thanks to the main sponsors of the congress, "Grindeks" and "Sanofi", it was possible to watch the congress remotely, on the free "ZOOM" platform.

Despite the fact that this was a Latvian congress, the president of the congress, Professor Andris Rubin, managed to attract important foreign speakers as well. In total, more than 25 lecturers from 10 different countries (USA, Germany, Taiwan, Italy, Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Ukraine) gave lectures.

The congress program consisted of more than 30 lectures, where the main topics presented were cosmetic dermatology, dermato-oncology, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS.

At the opening of the congress, the president of LDVA, professor Andris Rubins, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania A.god. Hosams Abu Meri, President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences Prof. Ivars Kalviņš and Kirovs Lipmans, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Grindeks".

At the end of the event, three young doctors, residents (Edgars Ķiecis (Latvia), Auguste Dubinskaite (Lithuania) and Nilesh Kodali (USA)) received diplomas for the best presentations among young doctors and were awarded a prize sponsored by Bioderma and LDVA.

In total, during the congress, 320 participants were gathered, of which 162 attended the congress in person, while 158 participants used the opportunity to watch the congress live on the "Zoom" platform.

Attendees could also see the exhibition stands of 11 companies and familiarize themselves with the latest in their production and equipment provision.
